LIFE & BRAIN GmbH was founded in 2002 with the support of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia and central government. Current private shareholders are Professor Oliver Brüstle, Professor Markus Nöthen and Professor Otmar Wiestler. The majority shareholders are the University of Bonn and the University Hospital of Bonn.
